Catering and Shopping
The airport has five retail and catering outlets - two in the main concourse and two in the Departures Area. The catering and retail concessions are operated Mount Charles Catering Ltd, one of Northern Ireland's leading catering companies with outlets all over the country. Satin Silver operates the Jewellery Concession in the Departures Area.
- The Airport Shop is located in the main concourse and offers a full range of newspapers, books, tobacco, confectionery, toys, gifts and souvenirs.
- Café Espresso is a combination unit located in the Main Concourse. This café offers snacks, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and a limited bar service. All of this is provided in a pleasant continental style with the tempting aroma of the speciality coffee bar.
- The main Airport Bar is located in the Departures Area and offers a full range of bottled and draught beers as well as spirits, wines and liqueurs.
- The Airport Restaurant in the Departures Area, offers a selection of meal options at breakfast time, lunchtime and throughout the day. The offer varies from light snacks and sandwiches through to full cooked meals.
- Satin Silver sells a range of beautifully handcrafted designer sterling silver jewellery from its retail area in the Departures. Passengers will be delighted with this new range of designer jewellery gifts.

Special Needs Passengers
The City of Derry Airport is a new airport completed in 1994 and it was designed very much with special needs passengers in mind.
Assistance and facilities include:
- Low level kerbs and ramps throughout the car park and adjacent to the terminal
- Dedicated car parking spaces in the main car park nearest to the terminal.
- Concessions on car parking fees for Disabled Badge holders
- All passenger facilities are located on the ground floor with no steps
- Special needs toilets in the main concourse and in the Departures Area.
- Induction Loop for hearing impaired
Our best facility for special needs passengers are our staff who will endeavour to help any passenger who has made it known that they require assistance.
Wheelchairs are available on request. Where possible, these should be arranged in advance preferably at the time of booking, or at any time prior to arrival at the airport.
Please note that whilst the airport provides wheelchairs on request to all passengers, each airline will have a different policy on the handling of wheelchair passengers. For further information please check with the airline prior to booking.
Note: A new European regulation will guarantee
more rights for both the disabled and people with reduced mobility when they
travel by air. Nearly one in five Europeans can require assistance for travelling
or communicating. From 26 July 2008, these people will have the right to assistance
and certain services in all European Union airports, as well as on board aircraft
operating throughout European territory.

A Help Point for passengers who have made their way into the terminal is situated
at the Information Desk in the check-in hall.

Departing passengers requiring Special Travel Assistance should attend the
appropriate check-in desk before the minimum check-in time, as stipulated by
the airline or holiday company, with the appropriate travel documents.

The Business Traveller
The airport has a Business lounge located on the First Floor. The lounge has complimentary reftreshments, television and video facilities and offers photocopy and fax facilities on request.

Airport Conference Room
The airport's conference facilities are located on the First Floor and can accommodate meetings and small conferences for up to fifteen people. Light refreshments are available and full catering facilities are available on request. Audiovisual equipment can also be supplied but must be requested at the time of booking.

Other Facilities
Banking
The First Trust Bank provides an ATM which accepts most main bank cards as well as credit cards etc. This machine dispenses Bank of England notes.
Childrens Play Area
A small area is set aside in the Departures Area for the amusement of young children. Various items of play equipment are provided. Parents please note that this area is unattended and children must not be left alone.

The total annual footfall through the terminal building is approximately one million people. That is one million potential customers who could see your product or service advertised either inside or outside our terminal.

Bureau de Change
City of Derry Airport operates a full Bureau de Change facility at the airport Information Desk. All major currencies can be bought and sold at the airport however the desk mainly deal with Sterling and Euro.
Enquiries should be made prior to travelling through the airport should you require other currencies.
